Multiple Last Name Help.
I was wondering if anyone could give me information as to the meaning of these surnames:Schutte
Vogel - Oh, got this one! Sorry.
KottkampI believe these are all German. And also, would anyone be able to include information about:Roland?
Both parents of this person were born and raised in Wales, so I assumed the name was Welsh, though the more I think about it, the less I think that is so.Thanks so much. :)ETA - Info at Vogel.

This is the given name info for RolandROLAND
Gender: Masculine Usage: English, French, Polish Pronounced: RO-land (English), ro-LAWN (French), RAW-lahnt (Polish) [key]

Means "famous land" from the Germanic elements hrod "fame" and land. Roland was a semi-legendary French hero whose story is told in the epic 'Chanson de Roland', where he is a nephew of Charlemagne killed in battle with the Saracens.

Schutte - possibly the same as the surname Schute, denoting a sailing vessel of some sort. The word appears to be obsolete, I'm not sure as I can't read German.
Kottkamp - surname Kamp is explained as Low German for field, pasture, copse, so a place name. I'm assuming Kottkamp is too. The Dutch surnames database lists this, and describes it as "Adresnamm", which I take to means "habitation name". Dutch or German? Maybe both.
