Friend's name
Greetings-
Question...
I have an Indian friend named Achsah. It is pronounced *AHK-sah*, emphasis on the first syllable. I would like to know what her first name means as well as her last name, Bushpaka.

Achsah's birthday is coming soon and I want to get her something that has her name etched on it along with the meaning. Thank you.

When you say Indian do you mean originating in India? This name doesn't look Indian (Hindi, Sanskrit, etc.) to me.
There is a Biblical name Achsah, daughter of Caleb. According to an entry in wikipedia this means "anklet." There's an idea for a gift.

Yes, Achsah is from India. I don't know which state, but she speaks Telugu and Hindi.

Telugu, being a Dravidian language, might have a different appearance from the North Indian languages. However, I've looked at a Telugu site and most of the surnames mentioned there have a familiar appearance; Kumar, Rao, Reddy, etc.
There is a (Sanskrit?) word, Pushpaka, that seems to have a place in Indian mythology. I don't know though if it is found as a name. It may be related to the female personal name Pushpa, "flower-like or blossom-like" (Dictionary of Sanskrit Names).
As for Achsah; if it is an Indian name perhaps it is another version of Akshaya, "everlasting one" (same source).
A great deal of speculation here and no answer. Sorry!

Achsah looks like a variation on a mosque with the name of al-Aqsa. As for Bushpaka...where in India is she from? If you know that, maybe you can go to a local library and dig through some books. Happy searching.

You're a good friend to want to get her something personalized (-:
