Does anyone know the origin and/or meaning of the surname Blaude?
I'm not entirely certain that it is a legitimate surname, but I thought I would check and see if anyone knows anything about it : )

This surname exists in Northern France and perhaps in Britain too.
However the variant BLAUD in France is more common.
According to Jean Tosti: www.jtosti.com/noms/ this surname could come from the old german first name "Biliwald", in France "Belaud".
