It is not Irish. Almost anything ending in SKI is polish or russian, that is all that i know.

How is it pronounced? I think it could derive from the Turkish name Çapal. In Kurdish 'chapâl' means 'left side' but I'm just guessing.

"ski" is a slavic suffix that belongs / pertains to a first name, in this case, that name would be "Capal". It could be a form of Koppel, a Yiddish nickname for Jacob. If that's so (I'm just making assumptions), it would mean "of Jacob".
