Anyone know of the surname Hartridge? |

I know that there are only 2 lots of the surname Hartridge (2 families- as in unrelated. There are extended families of course)
I just wondered the origins of the surname. This is an unusual surname as it was changed for this family in approx. 1912! Originally the family had a German surname (according to an older member of the family)
Please help if you know anything.
