Last name BARONCELLI
in reply to a message by Marc
Last weekend, I met someone by that name, German and absolutely ignorant about its origin. Looks like a baron with an Italian suffix to me. - Any ideas?

Baroncelli is derived from Barone whose origin you'll find at http://www.ancestry.com/facts/Barone-name-meaning.ashx

It's just a diminutive suffix. For example, Francesco has derivatives like Franceschello, Franceschetto, Franceschino, Francescotto, Francescoccio, Francescozzi, Francescuccio, Francescuzzo, etc.
