Khan is a popular brown surname. Thats all I know, does anyone know what it means or have any information about it?

Khan is derived from the Mongolian qayan - prince. It was used as a title in most of central Asia, and is still used in Iran, Afghanistan and (I think) the muslim-populated parts of India.
