surname criss, rhumko, brown , and scrutti
anyone know where these surnames are derived from?
i believe scrutti is italian and
criss is german but i could be wrong

Criss is a variant of the German surname Crist. From the Greek first name Christianus, which derives from Christus. Crist goes back to ca. 1250 A.D. For Brown see http://www.clanbrown.com/Questions.html

Scrutti doesn't exist at the moment in Italy, you can find SCUTTI in ABRUZZO region, not far from ROME. Scutti is probably a varianti of Scudo (shield) or Scotti, from Francesco.
But I am not sure.

CRISS could be British. Is it derivided from Christopher. I am not sure.
