Rumen (Cyr. Ðóìåí) is a relatively frequent Bulgarian given name.

It means "ruddy" as opposite to "pale". Ruddy people seemed more healthy than pale people, so babies were called Rumen wishing health.

Feminine form: Rumena (Ðóìÿíà, Ðóìåíà).
