There are actually six Feline(s) place names in France that we have found so far and whilst I agree with the association to pottery in the derivation of the place names this appears to have nothing to do with the origins of the family name.

My latest theory is that the family are actually of Camisard origin probably from the Gard or Ardeche departments but I am still working on that.
