Elin in FINLAND is the corresponding name for HELEN.

As your surname sounds finnish I presume that ELINS
is a variant of ELIN (or a wrong spelling), a feminin finnish first name.
I am waiting for a response of an italian site www.nomix.it
Is Elin a variant of Hellen I don't know.
