It's Indian, but I don't know the meaning. I have note that people of this surname belong to the Kayasth, i.e. Writer caste. Try doing a websearch with saxena and kayasth, it may produce something.

You mean from India. Just one Saxena lives in Italy too. And some perhaps in France see: LA FRANCE DE VOTRE NOM site.
