"Papadopoulos" is the correct form.
Maybe, the commonest surname in Greece.
The meaning is "Son of a priest".

Composite from:
papas = priest, vicar.
-poulos: common ending in greek names, meaning the "son of".

Other (local) forms with the same meaning are:
Papadakis (in Crete, Asia Minor), Papadeas (in Mani).
