I was wondering what the meaning of Rodican might be. Its of Irish origin, and most likely was changed at Ellis Island.

Rodican is an alteration of O'Rodaghan as you can see at http://tr.im/JOdr. This is an anglicization of Irish Ó Rodacháin which is apparently derived from rod 'strong'.
