The surname Udin seems to have a few different sources. One is Jewish where it's derived from the Hebrew name Jehuda. Another is French where it seems to be a variant of Oudin which is derived from the Germanic name Odo (< aud- 'wealth'). It's also common in Sweden and Norway but I don't know where that one comes from.
