Bohman
Probably German, maybe Dutch. I'm not sure if this is related to Baumann or not. Can someone tell me the meaning and origin of this? We're all in the gutter, but some of us look at the stars.

Bohman has two sources in North America, one German and one Swedish. The first is from Bohmann which is an alteration of Bachmann (via Bahmann) and comes from the common placename Bach (which means 'stream') and Mann 'man'. The Swedish surname Bohman obviously contains 'man' but I don't know what the first part refers to.
