Some time ago, someone had asked for a surname BARUTA. As far as i Know it could be an Italian surname from norther italian region Lombardy. It is an old surname of Sondrio province, coming from the village of Chiuro with an obscure origin.
According to an australian site 10 Baruta live in Australia. I am quite sure that they have their origins in Lombardy.

But there are also the polish Baruta, probably in USA as well.
