Subject: surname mingo as found in Devon UK
Author: hilary   (guest, 80.189.211.140)

I have Mingo as a surname, in my family. It is not a common UK surname and was and is still mainly found in the southern part of Devon, UK. The holders of the surname are ethnically white.
Can anyone suggest it's meaning and origin (pre 1500 in Devon)?
