Chirinos
anyone knows the etymology and origin of this surname? a Peruvian politician had it, he was from Arequipa and it is probably of Spanish origin...

The origin of Spanish Chirinos is purported to be the same as Cirino at ancestry.com/name-origin?surname=chirinos (see ancestry.com/name-origin?surname=cirino for Cirino). I'm not convinced of this but I have nothing better to propose.

Thanks... but then... What is the origin of "Cirino"?

I don't understand your question. Do you mean beyond the origin cited in the link I gave you?

Sorry, I misunderstood the link you gave as a link for Chirinos, not for Cirino, but then Quirinus is not an answer for meaning but I think it means spear, gotta check it... thanks!
