Subject: English surname "Type"

It has been a long time since I was away. Well, now I'm back. A surname that I came across long ago was Type, a British surname from Southern England. This surname seems to appear more in Devon, but the meaning of the name perplexed me for a long time. Maybe it it related to the surname Tipp, a form of Theobald, but the surname Type is also found in France. I have rediscovered this surname in my old files, I have come to share it with you guys.
