I can't see Kreitzer as being anything else but German. A number of immigrants bearing that name came to the US from Germany as you can see at tinyurl.com/n2dwsaa. There's no name close to that in Hungarian.

As I said in my original post, it was changed to be more pronounceable.
I found out it was Krajczar. :P
