Dyvig
Just wondering what this was-- Dyvig. it was a teacher of mine and the name has always intrigued me, ive not been able to find out what it is, is it Dutch, Danish? i heard somewhere it was both, but im really not sure, any help would really be just great!

This surname is Scandinavian namely from Norway.
Now it only exists in Danemark: 10 persons on danish telephone directory.
It also exists in USA but it is very rare.
I ignore its meaning.

It's not in my Norwegian dictionary, but dy- is ...meaning restrained and I'll to guess that -vig may be life or vigor ...
