My last name (untraceable)
what does Pavilus mean all I now is that it's a french last name and I got it from my dad side of the family who is french and I can't never trace my family history no matter how hard we try it's like we don't exsist.:)

Hi just had a root round for PAVILUS, there are a couple on ancestry.com, i suspect it may not originally be french it could be east european Czech or Polish.
The first name PAVLUS is Latin meaning "Small"(this could throw my first theory out the window). Hope this gives you a start.

I agree, I don't think the name is French in origin though found in France. I was thinking it looked Latvian or Lithuanian, but I don't feel confident about that anymore.

hi just had a root round for pavilus, there are a couple on ancestry.com, i also came across a magdale pavilus ( plays softball girls varsity i cannot find a meaning, and i suspect it may not originally be french it could be east european Czech or polish
