My last name is HUGHES, and my father says that it use to be O'Hughes an that the "O" was dropped from our last name when my ancestors immigrated to the United States a long time ago. Now my last name was one that kids throughout school could and would easily alter to make it sound derogatory, like "HUGE-ESS" referring to me as being someone that is huge as hell or basically a fat ass another one was "HUGGIES" like the diapers, kids would say that's my last name then it would grow into how I wear Huggies diapers. My last name is and was very easy for others to make fun of when I was in school.
