DESCRIPTION: Died around 310 AD (some sources say 305 AD and one even 288 AD) in Nicomedia during the reign of the Roman emperor Maximian. He was martyred together with Theodore, Julian and Oceanus (some sources list one more martyr, namely Centurionus), who all hailed from the same village as Ammianus did, namely Quandababa (also Kandaule and Kandaulos) near Nicomedia.
