I know a sort of chocolate sweets called "Rocher" (very good, yam, yam!) and I wonder whether there is a French surname ROCHER. And if so, is there a connection to ROGER?
Any French people people around?

This surname is also the name of some French villages.
But Rocher is a nickname of a person living near a rock.
"Rock" is in fact the meaning of "rocher".
This surname is quite common in France.
