Dear friends and family,
How are you all doing? Things are very well in the Saotome household. Lilith and River are attending kindergarden this year. Chris and I have chosen to enroll them in separate classes. We had a long talk with their school councillor about the strengths and benefits of each choice and decided that it would be better for them to develop socially independent from each other. Both of them are doing very well. It's hard to tell if they miss each other during the day at all! Still, whenever their classes are outside for recess, they always like to play with each other. River has started to take piano lessons this year while Lilith is enrolled in gymnastics.
Elodia is attending pre-school this year. Although she loves to pretend that she doesn't like it when I drop her off, she is actually very popular with the other kids and seems to have a new "favourite friend" every other day. Elodia loves to play ball games with the other kids, along with painting, singing and babies.
My mother is moving in with us next week. She finds her house too quiet and lonely now that my father has passed away. We've renovated the basement so that she has her own bedroom and bathroom. Although she is technically moving in so that we can help her, I think we are the ones who are going to benefit the most - Mom wants to take care of the kids so that I can go back to work. We'll see how long that lasts - my three little munchkins can be quite a handful!
