[Opinions] Dannah/Dana
WDTY of these names and how would you pronounce each? I know a Dannah who pronounces it just like Hannah with a D. I usually hear Dana (Danna) pronounced "DAY-nuh," but I have heard it like Dannah as well. Which of these names do you prefer?

this one is right up my alley!
My name is Dana Marie (Day-nuh) Had a hard time in elementary school with the teachers pronoucing it Dannah (like Hannah) and Dan-uh. I think it's a great name and never really thought about whether I liked it or not. I've seen my name spelled Dayna and Daina but I do like the traditional spelling of Dana

There was a Celtic goddess Danna (DAN-a, rhyming with Hannah) and that's on my favourites list for a girl :-)

I dont like either, but if i were to choose one, i prefer the DAY-nuh pronunciation, so, Dana.

I like Dana better, and I prefer it on a boy (typical of me), but I won't frown if I see it on a girl.

Agree, Dannah is like Hannah & Dana is like Dayna, but neither is really my style. I prefer Dana's spelling & pronounciation because it appears more legit.

I don't care for either name. I think of Dannon yogurt when I see/hear Dannah. And, Dana is one unisex name I think does not suit either gender.
