Hi everyone! Just a little bit of news from our family...
Ben is now in third grade and he's totally crazy about it. He got such a great report and his teachers can't get enough of how creative he is - he gets top marks for his stories and it seems like every time I go into his classroom to pick him up he has a new picture on the wall. Dylan's in pre-school now, but he hates being cooped up inside all day. Whenever the class goes on nature walks he nearly always ends up getting lost because he loves exploring. Now it's mud instead of paint that I keep having to wash out of clothes but it's nice to have a scientist in the family (even though me and Tom can't imagine where on earth that came from!)
Also, the other day the boys were playing in the front yard when a little yellow puppy came up to Dylan and started joining in their game. They both begged me to let them keep him so we called the vet and she said that the puppy was OK. Seeing as Daisy spends all her time hanging out with Ben, I said that Dylan could get to name the puppy and have him as his own pet. So he named him Jake after a character on one of his favourite kids' TV shows, which we thought was kind of sweet.
