Dear Mummy, Dad, sisters, and everyone else,
Pelly's finally proposed! We've been dating two years as you know, and my dear Paul Norris has asked for my hand in marriage. How exciting, isn't it? We haven't decided exactly when we're getting married, but sometime "safe" is the goal; May is traditionally the unluckiest of all months to be married in. We're thinking August, since the little verse for August marriages is a good one:
"Married in August's heat and drowse,
Lover and friend in your chosen spouse."
More info for you when we have it! Oh, I'm so excited.
