Since this site says that Luca is unisex (but by different origins), I'll let it pass. However, I much prefer it on a boy (and believe it or not, if you look at the popularities of this name it is rising on the boy's charts). Also, I thought it was only a boy's name (or at least supposed to be) until you mentioned otherwise.

I think it's Jennie Garth and her husband Peter Facinelli, but in that case, I think it's wrong, because they seemed to be trying to give their daughter an Italian name "Luca Bella Facinelli", but Luca is male in Italy, just like every Italian I've known named "Andrea" was male (see also singer Andrea Bocelli).
I read the other posts and saw that Luca is fem in Hungarian, but it's not in Italian, and not pronounced the same, so I don't like people using the Italian pronunciation but deciding to make it female.
