My screenname on this site, Isla, has a simple reason--it's my favorite girl's name.
Part of my email address, Juanita, is sort of a nn I have in real life. It's my mother's mn and my sister, who was 13 when I was born, was set on naming me Juanita Marie (My name is Heather, btw). I DO NOT look like a Juanita, so it's kind of a funny, ironic nn. My best friend and I sign our emails to each other with nn's--mine is Juanita and hers is Irene (because her parents almost named her Irene Rowena).
