Help[Surname] Weimer?
I believe the origing is German, it is similar to Weiner so it may be a variation. Does anyone have any info?

WEIMER (or WEIMAR) can be
a) from a place-name Weimar (either in Hassia or Thuringia)
b) a contraction of Wigmar or Winmar, two old German names
WEINER does not seem to be related; this is
a contraction of Wagner (as this site says)
