Help[Opinions] Ada?
I know a lot of people thinks Ada sounds old-fashioned, but I think it's really pretty. It's also a nice alternative for the popular "Ava". WDYT?

It's nice, but it's also the name of a town near me. :) So I definately would not use it. I really like Ava, though.

It is lovely. I don't think of it as all that similar to Ava, either. Ada's down-to-earth, elegant, and friendly to me; Ava's glamourous, elegant, and haughty to me. Ada reminds me of Ada Lovelace too -- a woman worthy of being named after... moreso than Ava Gardner imo.

I love Ada, but only with the pron. I'm familiar with, ah-dah.

I absolutely LOVE it :-) It's definately on my list. I really like a lot of 'old-fashioned' names.

I adore this name.
Its been one of my top names since I read Cold Mountain, five years ago I think. Its a lovely name, graceful, with a full history. I also love its simplicity. I think it might grow a bit in popularity, but it will never be huge.

I don't think it sounds old fashioned, in fact, I like old fashioned names more than popular names. I really like the name Ada, but I prefer the spelling Adah. :-)
