[Facts] Portuguese names
What is the spelling of Anthoney? Found the name on records dated 1850 and was from Portugal, South America. Could not read or write so am looking for proper spelling.

I'm not sure I fully understand...what it is you are looking for.
"Portugal, South America" comes across as if you mean that Portugal is in South America... which, (I'm sure we all know) it is not. Portugal is in Europe, right there, forming part of the Iberic Peninsula.
South America, however, does have a Portuguese Speaking country, called Brazil (pretty sure we all know that, as well)
Anyway, Anthony, in Portuguese would be either Antão or Antônio.Hope this helps,

António (Antonio) would be the Portuguese form of Anthony.Miranda
