[Opinions] Dilemna
Elliot Jensen (Jensen's a honor name)
Elliot Blake
Elliot Christopher (my brother's name is Christopher, so I don't know if I want to use this - I love my bro, but I'm not trying to name a child after him)
Elliot Nicholas
Elliot James I really like Elliot, but I'm afraid that Elliot seems just a little feminine...I tend to think that a lot of male names beginning with vowels seem a bit girly. So I wanted to use a strong male name for the middle name. And I'd prefer it be a "classic" one. Any help or suggestions?

Elliot is totally masculine, and no matter how many people name their little girls the male name Elliot, it'll still be a masculine name - just somewhat common on girls. That will never make it seem feminine, to me.So I don't think you have to worry about using a particularly butch middle name with it; just one that is obviously masculine which isn't used on females...I don't agree with you about names beginning with vowels seeming more feminine. I do think that it's possible, though, that having all short vowels and no long vowels might make a name seem "lighter" .. maybe that is what seems feminine to you? Anyway, I think Elliot James is the most masculine looking combo on your list.. All of the other middle names have a similar gentleness about them - not making them less masculine, nor more feminine, but they have a gentler quality as opposed to sounding butch. Nicholas is pretty darn masculine too, but James is more so. I think I get these impressions from the length of the vowels (A in James, O in Nicholas).Maybe try to think of male names you like that have a long vowel, stressed.Examples:
Owen
Julian
Ivan
Michael
Darius
Rudolf
Silas
Ethan
Aidan
Keith
Lucas

dilemma - it does sound feminineUse it as a middle name. Too many people these days are naming girls Elliot and calling them Elle or Ella.
I like Jensen Elliot and Blake Elliot.

I prefer the spelling Elliott, but I don't think it's a feminine name, at all. I think it's very strong and masculine. Much stronger than some of the other male names out there. I like your middle names Christopher, Nicholas, and James. I like Elliott James the best.
