...of the surname is often exactly like Coburn (the ck is silent). Maybe that's how his name is pronounced. I hope so, anyway. The first time I saw the surname Cockburn I cringed, but then I realized it wasn't being pronounced that way.

heehee my work experience supervisor when I was 15 was called mr. Cockburn (pronounced KO-burn).
