Hey there! Depends on which pronunciation you're going for! To me, Mia is without a doubt MEE-uh. Mya looks like MY-uh. If you want MEE-uh, I think you should spell it Mia for sure. If you want MY-uh, I think Maya would be the best spelling. If I was told to write down a name with that pronunciation, I would assume Maya. Second would be Maia, which is also nice. If you really like Mya, though, that works too! In any case, Mia and Mya (and Maya and Maia) are very pretty.~SHILOH~

Well I like both names and pronounce them differently. I say Mya as "MY-ah" and Mia as "ME-ah".

I never really thought about it but our friends had a baby girl, Mia, a month ago and now I love it. I definitely prefer it to Mya or Maya. Mia's sister is Isabella-what a cute sibling set!

I don't care for the spelling Mya, I think Maya or Maia is much better.I prefer Mia. It's simple, short and pretty. And even though popular, it doesn't seem as trendy as Maya has gotten.

I like Maya or Maia but not Mya. It looks illiterate to me. I prefer Maya/Maia only a little over Mia, though.

I prefer Mia as it's simpler, saying that I would only use it as a nn for Miranda or something similiar alice x

Love Mia, either on its own or as a short form of Maria. Don't like Mya, although Maia or Maya is okay.

Mya, with a long "eye" sound (MYE-uh). Mia, which I pronounce MEE-uh, is just too short. However, I'd spell it Maia personally.

Mia (Mee-a) is my favorite girls name, so I definitely prefer it over Mya (MIE-a). On another note, personally I much prefer the spellings Maia & Maya to Mya.

Well, to me they're two different names! Mia is MEE-uh & Mya is MY-uh and I prefer Mya to be spelled Maya. Each names is nice in their own way, but right now I'm prefering Maya which I think is nice and unusual without being weird. What about Amaya? It means Night rain in Japanese.

I like Mia (MEE-a) better, because I dislike Mya (see my reply below). If Mya were Maia (MIE-a), then I think I would prefer Maia over Mia, although it'd be a close call.

I don't care for the name (see my reply to your post below), but I'd say Mia, as I'm more familiar with that spelling. But, couldn't Mia be pronounced as Mee-uh, as well?
