[Opinions] Twin names...Millie and Tilly
Naming twins...Matilda and Millicent, could be shortened to Tilly and Millie, what do you think? P.S Which do you prefer? Tilly or Millie, I prefer Millie.

Too, too cutesy imo. Though Millicent and Matilda are GREAT names. Even Millie and Mattie would be a tiny bit better. If you love the names and use them for twin girls, I'd suggest calling them Millie and Matilda or Millicent and Matilda or Millicent/Millie and Tilda. :)

I prefer Millie. Not a good set imo.

yuckWhile I don't mind Millicent and Matilda for twins I dislike giving them the rhyming nns Millie and Tillie. Twins spend enough of their lives being thought of as a set instead of being thought of as individuals. Giving them rhyming nns makes it that much worse. I would never give twin siblings names any more similar than I would give singleton siblings.I prefer Millie to Tillie.

Matilda is great, Millicent is ok. Tilly is nms, I prefer Tilla (Yiddish nn for Matilda and others). Millie is nms either, I love Mila / Milla though.

I don't like same initials names for twins, and I don't like nicknames that are similar for twins. Both are just cruel acts. I like the name Millicent.

I don't like Tilly at all. So I guess I prefer Millie. Even though I think it sounds like a cows name.

A cow? Why...?

Honestly I have no clue. It just does. I've probably heard it on a cow somewhere. But I'm not saying I dislike Millicent, because I don't. And I love Matilda.

Funny cause Tilly reminds me of a bird, but I don't know why either.

If I had twins, I don't think I would like to name them names that ryhm. I like both names, but I think I prefer Tilly

They don't rhyme, really, though, just their nicknames would rhyme. :)

I agree. Great names individually, but too rhymey and
cutesy as twin names. They will be known as Milly and
Tilly, so their full names become less important. I think
even two M names are fine as long as they don't nickname
into rhymes or sound nearly alike.
