[Opinions] Alayna
I'm loving the girls' name Alayna at the moment. WDYT? I'm a bit bothered by its not being very historical in this form, but I don't think it looks kre8iv (you might disagree there ... don't hesitate to say so!)It could be considered a form of Aleine (a-LANE, cognate to Elaine), which was in Arthurian legend as some young beauty's name ... can't remember whose at the moment lol. A couple of relatively good books cite this as the source, but who knows :-)Combos ...
Alayna Belle
Alayna Clarity
Alayna Fawn
Alayna Finn
Alayna Madoline (MA-duh-lyne)
Alayna Meredyth (too many Y's)
Alayna Rosalin (RAWZ-a-lin)
Alayna Charis (pr'd "Karris", to rhyme with Harris)

I love the name, but prefer it spelled Alaina."A Rose by any other name would smell as sweet"...apparently Romeo wasn't into names :-)- Chelsea

I like Alayna, or spelled Alaina. Alayna Fawn is actually really pretty. Alayna Skye
Alayna Corinne
Alayna Marie
Alayna Juliet
I prefer Madeline or Madeleine instead of Madoline. Sorry!

I don't see the spelling so much as kre8iv as just awkward looking. I think spelling Alaina looks better, just a personal preference.I prefer the strong E sound anyway so my overall preference would be to Elena or Elaina.

I prefer the Alaina spelling. As someone with the 'lay' sound in her name, trust me, you don't want to spell it out. My husband has turned my name into quite a sexy nn. I don't mind him doing it, of course, but I'd hate if anyone else did. Think ahead to middle and high school where adolescent boys pick up on that sort of thing.

Alayna does look made up to me. I do like the name, but with the spelling Elaina. That way, it's a lovely name. From your middle names, I like Meredith (that spelling only, as Meredyth looks trendy with the y spelling). Elaina Meredith is very nice.

I lvoe the name Alayna, but I hate the spelling. I prefer the spelling Alaina. My fave combo from your list is either Alayna Belle or Alayna Meredyth, and yes, there are too many "y's", ao I prefer Meridith or Meredith.

I think it's pretty, but I do prefer it spelt Alaina, I just prefer the 'I' to 'Y' in names. My favourite out of your combos is, Alayna Rosalin. Alayna Charis flows nicely too :):)Edd: July 27, 2005(6 more days before we find out if we are having a boy or girl!)
