my mother was friends with an american girl when she was young and her name was Luonne so she named me that. Im a female from new zealand and have never known anyone else with this name. I would love to no what it means, where it comes from any information would be much appreciated.

"Luonne" is the Finnish word for a person's character, disposition, nature.... but I guess that interpretation is out of the question here :-) Maybe Luonne is a variant of LuAnne/LouAnne?
