[Opinions] Article on celebrity baby names
I was just looking on msn.com, and there's an interesting article on trends in celebrity baby naming.
Here's the link:http://family.msn.com/tool/article.aspx?dept=baby&sdept=bpc&name=me_021005_celebbabynames&signup=true&offer=1>1=6304

Thanks for posting this, Miranda. But the writing in this article is SO stupid and annoying. lol For example:
"Blast from the Past: Jane Pauley and Jane Seymour aren't twins, although they sound like they could be...."
Yeah, Jane & Jane are twins. Very clever. *rolls eyes*Also, Tate might be interested to hear that Jane Seymour named one of her twins Kris (Kristofer/Kristopher) after Christopher Reeve (not Reeves, as the article states). Others use names to honor people without spelling the name the same way. Not sure why Jane Seymour changed the spelling, though.

I didI posted the article, and I agree that the writing is horrible. The writer has come up with weird puns related to most of the people for some reason, and it's pretty stupid.
Still, it is interesting for all the weird names.

Is it sad...That the scariest name I found there was the article author's son's? Otter, for crying out loud! The other worst offenders, imo, were Rob Morrow's Tu Morrow and, of course, Jason Lee's Pilot Inspektor. *Headdesk* At least spell it properly!

InspektorWhat nationality is the mother of Jason Lee's son? Inspektor is a correctly spelled German word and I wouldn't be surprised to find the word in other Indo-European languages as well. It's still a crappy name though.

The IMDb states that little Pilot's full name is Pilot Inspektor Riesgraf-Lee, and that his mother is Jason's fiancée Beth Riesgraf. It said nothing about Beth's ancestry, but the surname does look very ethnic--maybe German, yes.Linky: http://tinyurl.com/6v6zm.EDIT: Forgot link.

Otter?I didn't even notice that. That's horrible. I can deal with Tiger, Wolf, Cougar, and many bird names, but Otter?Suelain is interesting as well :-/

Suelain's "interesting", but I can tolerate a lot more because it actually has some sort of sensible reasoning to it. And it honours family.Otter, on the other hand, is just "Wtf?!" to me. :-/

Maybe the author was a big fan of Animal House with John Belucci. One of that characters in that movie was called Otter, granted that was his nickname in his fraternity, but maybe thats where they got it from.

I love Shannyn Sossamon, but her poor son, haha. I don't even like his middle name, Clayton.

The father's ln is Clayton, so I think Clayton is his ln. Audio and Science are NOT names imo, so Clayton was the only decent thing going for it, imo! Poor kid. :b
