[Opinions] Anibal
Last night I was watching the Red Sox spring training game (sox won!)But one of the Sox pitchers is named Anibal Sanchez. Now, I have a great uncle Anibal and we have always pronounced it Uh-Nee-Bul but the announcer last night kept saying Ann-i-bel like the girls name Annabelle. So how would you pronounce Anibal? and what do you think of it.

Probably the Ann-i-bel
While its a good name, I wouldn't use it. It looks like a kreativ version of Annabell.

At first glance I'd think it was pron. like Annabelle, but that's just me being ignorant. I've never heard or seen the name before so I know nothing about it, but Uh-Nee-Bul does sound better.

Definitely NOT Annabelle
It's probably not correct, but I'd prn it AHN-ee-bul or ANN-ih-bul, depending on if I were trying to throw in a fancy hispanic accent or not.
