Maline looks like "malign" to me, and that's just a horrible association.
Malina isn't much better, but it doesn't look nearly so similar to the word. I'd got with Malina Renee.

Agreed - "malign" is the first thing I thought of too. I'd go with the form Melina, which is lovely :-)
