I think the name may be associated with Monica Lewinsky, but I think even more people think of "Friends". Regardless though, I love the name--it's one of my favorites. I really like the combos Monica Elisabeth, Monica Josette, & Monica Juliet.

Hi! I associate Monica with my good friend, Monica. And then after her, I associate it with Monica Lewinsky. And then I guess Monica from Friends, but the association isn't that strong there. I used to think Monica was really pretty and a little different but not weird, before the whole scandal thing. Now I wouldn't use it, though.

The name's ok. I never think of Monica Lewinsky when I think of the name :-)

I don't think of Lweinsky or Friends (never a fan). It is a pretty name and I barely hear it used these days :)

I associate Monica with Friends more than I associate it with Monica Lewinsky, but I associate the name even more with the Monicas I've met and known, all of whom were very nice. Monica is one of my favorite names.

It has really been tainted by Lewinsky. Too bad.

I don't think of Monica Lewinsky...or Friends, as karen posted. I don't associate names with people or characters, as the person named Monica will be her own person. If someone does think of those people, who cares, really?
