Rubens and Raphaelle look very much like the surnames of two great artists. Dolley used to be an optional way of spelling Dolly - some US president or other - no, hang on, it's coming - President Madison had a wife whose name was Dolley. I don't have any idea if she was named Dolley or was just a shortened Dorothy in the usual way.Something that's always interested me: famous South Americans often seem to have surnames as first names - Rubens Barrichello and Ayrton Senna, and there are others.

I think Rubens is a surname which might come from the name Rueben.
I sounds like Raphaelle and Dolley are just forms of Raphael and Dolly.
