[Opinions] the twin's were born but...
they aren't sure if they are going to make it. Their due date is June 21st. We are all praying they will both make it through. But anyways, welcome to the world Juliana Mae and Sophia Lee. The middle names are after me and my mother. They were born at 5:30 this morning (April 18th) via c-section after my sister went into full blown labor and they decided the babies would have a better chance to survive outside the womb. They are my sister's first children and they join cousin's Robert Joseph "Robbie" and Brady Lovander.

The names are beautiful! The twins will be in my thoughts and prayers. They'll probably do just fine. My due date was June 7, and I was born via c-section on April 21. (Six weeks early.) I weighed two pounds and twelve ounces, and after awhile in the hospital (three and a half weeks) I came home and was just like any other baby, although a smaller version. They should be just fine. :)

I am praying for the twins-I hope they will be okay. They have beautiful names.
Keep hope. My sister was born at 24 weeks (iirc, it was definitely three months early), was less than a pound at birth, and survived unscathed save for some minor speech delays.
As for the names, I like them both very much. They're nice both together and individually imo, and Juliana and Sophia compliment each other without being twinny. The only things I would change would be Mae and Lee, which I prefer spelled May (since the month isn't spelled Mae) and Leigh (as I prefer Lee for a boy).

Wow! We have a couple of 24-weekers in the NICU where I work right now, and it's wonderful to hear stories of the ones that grow up and are healthy and doing well when they are older. :) That's great for your sister and your family.
I will be praying for them. They have beautiful names, by the way.
I'll definitely keep them and your family in my prayers. How many weeks along was your sister? About 30 weeks? And do you know how much they weighed? I ask because I'm an NICU nurse, and 2 months early is very early but not the worst it could be. I hope they do well. :)
Yes I think you are right they are about 30 weeks and everything is such a blur I can't remember how much they weigh, I want to say 3 or 4 pounds each, does that sound right?
If they are 2 months early then they are probably 30-32 weeks, and maybe around 3 pounds (twins are usually smaller than single birth babies). If you find out any more information, or just want to ask me any questions about what may be going on in the NICU where they are, feel free to ask. I'm not sure what's going on with your nieces specifically, and of course every baby is different, but babies after 27 weeks do much better than those born earlier because that is when lung development takes place. They'll still have a long road ahead of them, and I pray they do well. I'll keep you all in my thoughts. :)
Beautiful names:-) Best of luck to your sister and family, you're in my prayers.
