[Facts] Glevum (Latin), Wachberht (German?) plus Evergreen read on...
Evergreen IS a first name, i assume derived from a nickname? Can i assume that this refered to a youthful looking family? or is it a garden trader who sold them? (circa 1700).

Wachberht is likely from 'wakar' (see Odovacar) and 'bert' (see Albert, for example). :) I would say 'Wachberht' means 'bright watchman.' :) (At least, my book says that 'wakar' means 'to watch, to guard'.)
