Riley is my grandfather's middle name, and I honestly can't see it on a girl at all. I'd like to use it in his honour someday, because I love his full name--it just rolls off the tongue.
I think that if you name a boy Riley, he might have a few problems with the fact that his name is shared by female classmates, but in the end, I don't think it'll cause all that much trouble.
All those girls named Riley-Reilly-Rylee-Rilea can stuff it; the name's much nicer on a boy.
