I like it, but I prefer other forms of it.

I don't care for it. It isn't a strong-toned name to me. On the TV show CSI: Miami, David Caruso's character is named Horatio Cain (they call him "H" for short sometimes).

I think it sounds cool, but I wouldn't use it personally. It doesn't have the nicest sound in general; but moreover it's a Hor- name, and I dislike such names because of Hor-'s homonymity (hey, I think I made up a word! :-D) to "whore".The only Hor- name I really moderately like is Hortensia.

I agree. It seems easy to tease since the beginning sounds like "whore". I don't care for it at all.

I'm not sure if I would use it personally since there's something about the sound of it that turns me off. I think it's a great name for someone else to use though!

I love it. It's an old favourite of mine. I'm a big fan of Horatio Hornblower, and I like the fact that it could be nicknamed to Ray (a family name for me).My personal Horatio combo is Horatio Kolbe, but I think that Horatio sounds fantastic with a lot of different names. Yeah. Err...Just can't think of any particularly dazzling examples off the top of my head. I'll let someone else come up with some.Array
